MISSION, VISION & PROFESSIONAL VALUES

Mission

My personal mission is to serve individuals.

Especially individuals experiencing challenges and underserved populations, by promoting functional independence, confidence, and holistic well-being through occupational therapy. I am committed to lifelong learning, compassionate care, and community engagement. Striving to empower every client I encounter to reach their fullest potential in daily life. While promoting functional independence, confidence, engagement, and holistic well-being through occupational therapy.

My mission is to advance occupational therapy’s role within the foster care system by bridging clinical practice, research, policy, and advocacy. Rooted in trauma-informed care and occupational justice principles, I use evidence-based research to identify service gaps, elevate children’s voices, and advocate. Through compassionate, trauma informed care, strategic collaboration, and community engagement, I am committed to fostering resilience, enhancing participation, and driving systemic change so individual child has the opportunity to thrive.

Vision

I envision becoming a dynamic occupational therapist who leads with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-based reasoning. I aim to inclusive environments where individuals of all abilities feel supported and capable. Through continued education, collaboration and advocacy, I will contribute to transforming the lives of those I serve and the communities I am a part of.

My long-term vision is to influence policy, expand trauma-informed services, and create inclusive environments where individuals of all abilities feel supported. Through ongoing advocacy, education, and collaboration, I aim to transform systems and communities by amplifying OT’s role in promoting holistic well-being.
